For over twenty years, Rosemary Luckett has created thought provoking collages, found-object sculptures and installations. Her work speaks from a woman's point of view on issues of spirituality, gender equality, archetypes and the patriarchy. By removing images and objects from their original context and re-presenting them in new combinations, she challenges our gender stereotypes.
Luckett graduated from Saint Mary College in Kansas and currently resides in Manassas, Virginia. Her exhibition record includes galleries and museums in Indiana, Ohio, Texas, New Mexico, North Carolina, Kansas, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Colorado, as well as the 1996 exhibition, Look at the World Through Women's Eyes, at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. She is also the the author and illustrator of Crosses and Poems published in 1998 by Sheed & Ward.
